Learn the basics (or brush up on them) of hand embroidery stitches.

Binding your quilt can often be the one thing that stops quilters from having a completely finished quilt. Come and join us as we look at how to bind and some of the different binding styles and methods that can be used.

This is a technique class and a social sewing afternoon if you choose. The pattern is based on Tula Pink's Bird Seed Quilt. In the morning we will be looking at the no-waste method of making flying geese blocks as well as a fun and easy orange peel block that avoids curved piecing. The afternoon will be available for working on your blocks in a relaxed social sewing session with Jen in attendance. The pattern is included in the class.

EPP is stitched by hand and is a perfect technique for taking with you to places where you may have to do some waiting. This wonderful "slow stitching" method allows you to create simple flowers to intricate designs like millefiore quilts.

Learn the fun of being able to quilt your own quilt using your free motion quilting foot. Shelley will show you her marking techniques and how to get a nice steady stitch. Shelley will lead you through several exercises including how to stipple, pebble, make loops, feathers, follow lines and share with you great tips and tricks that she has picked up over the years to help demystify the fine art of free-motion quilting.

Join Shelley as she teaches all there is to learn about Fussy Cutting. She will be using the Marti Michell Perfect Patchwork Templates to show you how you can create fussy cut blocks. You won't be limited to just square shapes!

Have you always wanted to try turned edge machine applique? Then now is the time to learn how. Working with the amazing Apliquick products you will learn how easy it is to turn seam allowances while creating simple shapes and achieving great results.

With all of the focus on machine quilting both domestic and longarm, hand quilting is becoming a bit of a lost art. In this class you will learn basting, marking and stitching. If you enjoy hand work, you'll enjoy this class.

This is a super fun way to use Jelly Rolls or even scraps! The Jelly-Roll Rug is made with one Jelly Roll and Cotton Batting.

Using the pattern Quarter Sections, you'll learn the basic techniques of quilting, starting by choosing your own fabrics and moving on to rotary cutting, strip piecing, setting blocks, borders and binding. Class will be completed in 4 evenings.

Join us in the making of a Snowman Tablerunner or Wall Hanging using your 5"x7" embroidery hoop. Learn how to embellish with glitter vinyl, leather and plush fabric. *you must know how to purchase the embroidery design and download the files in the format required for your machine. This is a fun, information-filled class where you will learn how to take control and rid yourself of frustration. We will cover basic maintenance and techniques that will have you using your serger with renewed confidence!
