Spring and Summer 2017
For many of us quilting is a year round pursuit! And with that in mind we've added a few classes for the Spring and Summer months to keep us all sane! ;) Most are project classes of a more “instant gratification” nature.
1. Learn to Quilt 4 – 3 hr classes Instructor: Sandy / $105.00
You'll learn the basic techniques of quilting, from choosing fabrics to rotary cutting, strip piecing, 9-patches, half-square triangles and setting blocks and a little about borders and binding. We've shortened the regular beginner class up a bit for summer so that you can be on your way sooner.

2. Zippered Fun for Pouches and Bags 1 – 3hr class Instructor: Jennifer $35.00
Explore various techniques for inserting zippers into pouches and bags by sewing up a multi pocket pouch. This class is a good start for those who usually avoid working with zippers.

3. Locker Hook a Mug Rug – 1 – 2hr class Instructor: J. Linda $25.00
Learn how to prepare your edges of your mesh square. Then hook the inside of the square. Great way to use up odd size fabric strips.

4. Lined Drawstring Bags 1 – 2.5hr class. Instructor: Patti /$30.00
Learn how to make these adorable and versatile cloth bags. They come in a variety of sizes and the possibilities are endless. With permission from pattern designer Jeni B.

5. Boxing Bags and Pouches: 3 techniques 1 – 2.5hr class Instructor: Jennifer /$30.00
Boxing the corners of your tote bag or zipper pouch gives space and shape to your project. We will take the mystery out by exploring the two most common techniques plus one more decorative version.

With easy sewing and cutting you can make a least three different types of blocks!

7. Threadcatcher 1 – 6hr class Instructor: Julie $55.00
These fabulous threadcatchers are a step up from the usual. Not only do you get a place to toss your threads but you also get a needle cushion and a pin cushion. And get this: all three are moveable/removeable!

8. Make a Crochet Hook/Knitting Needle Roll 1 – 3hr class Instructor: Jennifer $35.00
Sew up a pretty crochet hook or knitting needle roll to carry and protect your crafting tools.

9. Quilt As You Go 1 – 4.5hr class Instructor: J. Linda $45.00
Quilt your blocks as you make them. Join them in rows. Your quilt will be finished except for the binding. Crib and small lap quilts can be done with a whole back and batting using the flip and sew method.

10. Flora Supply Case 1 – 6hr class Instructor: Patti /$55.00
Learn how to make these super cute but also really handy organizer pouches. There's a bit of piecing, straight line quilting, zipper installation and binding involved. With permission from pattern designer Clover and Violet.

11. Cushion Covers 1 – 3hr class Instructor: Julie $35.00
Need to spruce up our couch? Give new life to a bedroom or sitting room? Julie's cushion covers are sure to do the trick.

12. Infinity Scarves by the Dozen 1 – 2.5 hr class Instructor: Patti $30.00
Well, maybe you won't make a dozen but these are quick to sew up so you will definitely get more than one finished. We will also look at a few other fun things to make with double gauze.

13. Learn to Sew 1 – 3hr class Instructor: Taran $35.00
Completely new to sewing? Do you have a sewing machine and no clue how to use it? This is probably the class for you. Taran will take you through the basic of sewing while you put together your first pillowcase project.

14. Fancy Tiger Sailor Top 1 – 6hr class Instructor: Taran $55.00
Start of get back into garment sewing with this easy and fashionable top from the amazing ladies of Fancy Tiger Crafts. This is a low stress class that will teach you the basics of sewing a simple garment.

General Information on Classes : The fine print!
We have a dedicated classroom space in the lower level of the building. It is important that students be able to navigate a typical stairway to access the classroom. It is equipped with sewing machines and cutting mats so that students will not need to carry those bulky items up or down the stairs.
There is a 12 space parking lot at the rear of the building for our exclusive use so students will have no worries about finding a parking space close to the store
You receive a 15% discount on any supplies you purchase for the class. Supply lists are available when you register, but it is wise not to purchase anything new until a week before the class starts, in case you have to drop the class or it's canceled.
Class Fees are payable at the time of registration.
No refund or exchange is given on classes within 7 days of the class date. We have tried to be flexible with this in the past, but have to tighten up this rule. We try hard to accommodate hardships, but we can't give refunds if someone just forgets to turn up. Please mark down your dates.
A full refund is issued if the class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment. You will be given a week's notice if this occurs.
If you would like to use a store sewing machine just let us know when you register, you will only need to get a pack of needles and a bobbin.
Class size is a minimum of 3 people, maximum of 8 people.
